    @Tiger
    No problems on the 3610 revo for me for sound

  2. VAndsten says:

    When i try installing this it stops at “checking disks” at 43%, tried different versions but all end up with this. Also tried unpluging all other usb devices expect the boot usb stick. help?

  3. VAndsten says:

    @VAndsten
    correction, “scanning disks” is where it freezes.

  4. Tiger says:

    @jake52
    are you using a reviewer? or direct to TV for hdmi sound?

  5. Tiger says:

    if u check alsamixer do you see s/pdif at 0??

  6. sonik says:

    @VAndsten
    same here..

    are u using a SSD or ordinary HDD (in my case its a SSD)

  7. VAndsten says:

    @sonik
    Intel 40GB SSD…

  8. Miesjel says:

    @VAndsten
    i guess we’re on to something….seems SSD-related

  9. VAndsten says:

    the normal version of XBMC Live installed perfectly fine onto my SSD, so i guess its got to be something with xbmcfreak or my SSD, still need to try other ways to bypass the problem

  10. VAndsten says:

    scanning disks problem SOLVED.

    Delete all partitions on the SSD, but dont format them into ntfs, or ex4 or fat32 or whatever. So that the whole SSD is unallocated space. Then retry installation. worked for me, didnt freeze anymore

    i used a ubuntu 10.04 USB boot key to try ubuntu and used Gparted to erase my disk.

    Hope this works for others with the same problem.

    Hi Piethein,

    Werkt de console nu op deze versie? Anders ga ik toch binnenkort maar eens proberen met een minimal Ubuntu install.

  12. Miesjel says:

    @ Vandsten
    thanks
    will try i tonight

  13. jake52 says:

    @Tiger
    I’ve used HDMI through a Sony Receiver and HDMi direct to the TV, not tried SPDIF

  14. sonik says:

    @ vandsten

    tried it….no luck :(

  15. sonik says:

  16. Miesjel says:

    @sonik
    aanvulling: ik begin te vermoeden dat het te maken heeft met Gparted. Ubuntu en varianten laten zich niet installeren en blijven hang bij schijfscanning op 43%

    Crunchbang Linux laat zich wel installeren, maar is gebaseerd op Ubuntu 9.11…

    maar daarmee heb ik nog steed geen Freak :-(

    Iemand nog ideeen??

  17. Nik says:

    Hi there!

    Thanx for new version!

    I’ve just received my Zbox HD-ID11 with SSD, but I’m a kind of noob in linux. Can you please tell me how to install Livecd to SSD?

    Thanks alot and sorry for “nooobing”

  18. James says:

    Thanks for all your hard work, my revo 3610 is running great now, support for maplin wmc remote would be nice if you get stuck for things to do as I cant figure out how to get it working, oddly when I first installed 9.11 it worked without any lirc tweaking, however after many reinstalls I now get nothing no matter how much I try to change the lirc files!

    But the main reason for me posting is to say a big thanks :)
