Thank you. This is an issue that has been plaguing me off and on for almost a year. Now I know how to fix it.

Esata draait, voor de mensen met het zelfde probleem:

sudo nano /etc/default/grub

Find GRUB_CMDLINE and delete nodiskmount from the line. Save then run

sudo update-grub

sudo reboot

Alles werkt hier op m’n asrock 330ht, op 2 belagrijke issues na:
Ik krijg m’n esata drive niet meer gemount, en hd wav/ dts nuziek bestanden geven alleen white noise.

iemand enig idee?

Add Source > Add Network Location > Protocal "Windows SMB" fill in the ip of your NAS (don't click browse) shared folder location user and pass

Wonder boven wonder had ik toch geen fout gemaakt. Ik weet niet wat er goed of fout is gegaan, maar op een wonderbaarlijke manier heeft het probleem zich opgelost. (Kan het formateren vanuit ubuntu anders zijn dan in windows?)

Ik denk dat ik een fout heb gemaakt. De xbmclive 9.11 cd lijkt wel te werken. De fout doet zich alleen voor bij de 10.08 cd

Bedankt voor je snelle reactie. Ik heb versie 4.72 en wat oudere versies geprobeerd. Hetzelfde probleem krijg ik bij een installatie van de xbmclive9.11 iso

Bij het installeren via een USB stick (gemaakt met unetbootin), krijg ik steeds de melding dat de cd-rom drive niet gemount kan worden (detect and mount cd-rom). Een cd-rom speler heb ik niet op mn pc. Ik kom niet verder. Wat is een stap in de goede richting?

Misschien gebruik je een oude versie van unetbootin. Heb je de laatste versie?

@Ron Smith I too have this problem on this build. Add the source manually adding the username and password as a workaround.

This problem has to do with the 2.6.32-24 kernel. If you roll it back to 2.6.32-22 as per this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=76735&page=14, you will be able sleep and resume. Trust me, I’ve been trying to figure this out for 6 weeks now! I tried it tonight and it works a treat.

Be careful though as I was running the latest 256 nVidia drivers and this caused a clash with the 2.6.32-22 kernel. Managed to get it going again but now my nVidia audio is all screwed up and the alsamixer can’t see the nvidia audio devices.

Somehow I now need to repair the kernel to make it see the 256 drivers but as I’m a noob, that’s a bit beyond me.

On some builds, this one included, I have a problem adding shares from NAS with login. When I try to add the NAS the swirling “working” box pops up but does not ever pop up the name/password box. Just the”working” endlessly.
