- Visual changes for installer, background, etc
- Latest Amd 8.911 drivers (versus 8.881)
- Ubiquity installer now uses the Nvidia binary driver (avoid small font)

Mocht je XBMCbuntu al hebben draaien gebruik dan “apt-get upgrade” om te upgraden. Mocht je problemen vinden tijdens de installatie of bijvoorbeeld met het geluid. Vergeet niet het /tmp/debugInfo.txt ergens te posten.
Nice! and fast! Just one problem I am having with installing this XBMCbuntu (other releases of XBMCbuntu as well)… when I load the downloaded ISO inside a virtual machine it boots up the installation process fine but when I create a bootable USB-stick from this ISO it immediately boots into a live XBMC eden session, right of the USB-stick instead of starting the installation process (which is what I want). I use Unetbootin to create the bootable USB-stick. Any advice?
Is deze versie ook te gebruiken op een PC met pentium 4 en 1 Gb werlgejuegen

I couldn’t get it to work with unetbootin but this worked for me (using debian):
1. Format USB-stick as EXT4 (I think fat32 will also work fine)
2. dd if=binary-hybrid.iso of=/dev/sdb (be patient)
/dev/sdb is the device path. Use fdisk -l to see what the correct path should be. Make sure not to include numeric suffixes at the end of the path.

Het installeer front vindt ik RC2 te klein en de letters zijn nu wazig ( niet duidelijk )
Tijdens het opstarten krijg ik de volgende melding op het scherm :
Drive for UUID=edfa08e5-1972-495d-a6ac-ad258a4407f3 is not ready yet or not
Continue to wait, or Press S to skip mounting or M for Manual recovery
Dit krijg elke keer als het systeem opstart, dit had ik met vorige versie niet
Al met al weer een mooie nieuwe versie
I’m sure the installer fontsize issue is giving you quite a headache by now
Anyway, these findings (installer only) using Nvidia Videocards:
– On a LG 55LX9500 (1080P), ENORMOUS fonts, resulting in overzsized dialog windows and /or fixed sized windows which cannot hold the huge fontsize.
Needs a “Option “DPI” “120 x 120″ in xorg.conf to get a ‘workable’ ubuntu desktop.
– On a NoName LCDTV (720P), Very small fonts, same as before, unworkable
P.S. Hideous pink background is back in login screen (after exiting XBMC)
Kom nu in .xsession-errors het volgende tegen :
“Gtk-Message: Failed to load module “canberra-gtk-module”
Actually the small font during the installation made me clicking ext3 instead of ext4 (couldn’t see it clearly but I though I selected the correct one) which caused my data disk that contains my movies / series to be wiped
Fail from my side… should have been more careful
Anyways apart from the font size, the installer worked like a charm! XBMC is running really good on my Zotac HD-ND22

Is XBMCbuntu only available in 32bit, or is there a 64bit build?
Is AFP working in this version ala bug #12591? I’m interested in trying a new version of this, but if it breaks AFP, I’d rather not have to spend the time to work out the recompile again.
ik heb alle updates gedraait en nu start het systeem met een bootmenu. hier kan ik dan voor een herstel versie kiezen.
hoe kan ik dit uitschakelen?
ook krijg ik een melding dat lirc niet meer zou werken.
iemand anders daar ook last voor of een mogelijke oplossing.

Heb net een schone installatie gedaan van XBMCbuntu RC2 op een Asrock 330.
Na de installatie zit ik met 2 issues.
- De thumbnails van TV Shows of Films worden niet meer automatisch gedownload (moet er nu handmatig 1 kiezen en die instellen)
- Het terug zetten van de library naar een Mysql database werkt niet meer. Tevens stottert de hoofdscherm na het aanpassen van de “advancedsettings.xml”

Btw, in v30, i lost suddenly audio over hdmi(and fusion e-350) and same bug apply to v34

Hello i just installed this version on a intel 945 system with a nvidia card and all seems goog if i connected the pc to my 23 zoll medio full hd monitor. But if i connect the same pc to my samsung 40 zoll fullhd tv then i saw very big fonts on the screnn if i’m in the xmbcuntu session. So that is going wrong Can anyone please help me.
