XBMC on Wayland, part 2

Wayland is een nieuw Display Protocol met als doel om het oudere X11 protocol op den duur te gaan vervangen. Het zou vooral op kleinere devices een enorme snelheidsverbetering moeten leveren. Goede nieuws is dat er nu ook aan ondersteuning binnen XBMC wordt gewerkt:


Sam Spilsbury, een ontwikkelaar die eerder bij Ubuntu in dienst was heeft een aantal patches ingestuurd bij XBMC om Wayland ondersteuning op korte termijn te kunnen realiseren.
