   Ja, wat Oizopower zegt. Installeren en vervolgens de PPA toevoegen en blijven updaten. SVN kan je eventueel ook tijdens het draaien van de Livecd updaten, maar na een reboot ben je dan uiteraard wel alle aanpassingen kwijt.

   Hi,

   Er gebeuren bij mij 2 hele rare dingen:

   - Het lukt meestal niet vanuit de GUI in de command shell komen via Ctrl Alt F2: dit geeft een zwart scherm. Op goed geluk, of na een reboot werkt het soms wel (had ik ook bij de vorige SVN versie)

   - ALS ik in de command shell ben, kan ik niets downloaden omdat wget niet bestaat:
   ‘bash: wget: command not found’. Dit was ook het geval bij 9.11v14
   ‘sudo apt-get install wget’ geeft: ‘E:Package wget has no installation candidate’

   Ik gebruik een Asrock 330HT, waar al meerdere vorige live versies prima op draaiden…

   Iemand enig idee? Thanx!

   Oh PS: ik heb de live CD op HDD geinstalleerd…
   Het rare is dat bovenstaande problemen zich NIET voordoen als ik direct vanaf CD boot…
   (Klein detail is dat dan de font grootte vd command shell ook veel groter is (lagere resolutie?) )

   Piethein en Oizopowerm bedankt voor de tip, het is gelukt. Moest wel na de update weer de lucid kernel downgraden naar 2.6.32-22 anders werkt de Asrock remote niet meer.

   Sorry for the English, but i don’t speak Dutch. Anyway, is there any way for me to boot the XBMCfreak CD with a USB optical drive? When I try to boot it, I get an “Unrecognized Filesystem” error and it drops me to the grub prompt.

   When I boot the CD on my normal PC and install it to a USB thumbdrive, my grub config is not what I want it to be due to the hardware being different between my desktop and my HTPC.

   If anyone can help me, I’d most surely appreciate it.

   I used the latest unetbootin and it worked fine, no need to muck about with anything.

    Ik heb deze SVN geïnstalleerd op m’n Asrock ION 330 HT, en hij doet het erg slecht moet ik zeggen. Bij het booten schieten er 4 foutmeldingen door het scherm (in een halve seconde dus ik kan het niet lezen) Ik kan met ctrl-alt f2 niet in de console komen (scherm blijft zwart) maar het ergste is nog wel dat ik zeer slechte perfomance heb met het afspelen van video content. Zelfs SD content (home video van Sony handycam) hapert aan alle kanten. HD content hoef ik niet eens te proberen, want dat schokt en hapert aan alle kanten. Ik heb de instellingen goed staan (VPAU etc) maar het lijkt erop dat de acceleratie door de Nvida chip niet werkt. Mijn vraag is dan ook, welke SVN versie van XBMCfreak werkt wel stabiel/goed met het afspelen van video content op een Asrock ION 330 HT ? (graag een linkje)

    Also, it would be awesome if this can be installed with permanent storage, I didn’t see that option at all.
    It is pointless to install it on USB stick like a normal hard drive as it wont last more than 2-3 months.

    Other than this, respect for all the work!

    Funny, seeing as people have been running live systems off of USB for a long time. Mine is going on 6 months with no issues, but yes, you can pop the disc in, or run it off of a USB stick and choose the install option to install it to the HD.

    Now a question. Does anyone know the settings in advancedsettings.xml to get CPU and GPU temps for ION boards? I know the old ION optimized releases had this, so I’m sure it’s something easy.

    Awww man. Oh well, it still may be worth it if it’s stable. I can’t seem to keep my unit from locking up with the generic XBMC-Live SVN releases of XBMC.

    Vraagje, ik heb de boel aan de praat maar is het ook mogelijk andere skins toe te voegen? Er is geen skin directory meer aanwezig. Werkt dit nu op een andere manier? Heb al geprobeerd de folder skin aan te maken en hier de skins in te zetten maar in xbmc kan ik geen andere skin dan Confluence kiezen. Iemand een tip?

    Kun je bij live eigenlijk ook kernel updates doen? of is dat niet mogelijk? Heb nu weer een full ubuntu draaien en ga eigenlijk liever weer terug naar een live versie omdat ik dan zaken als ssh samba ftp enz. niet meer hoef te configureren. Kun je ook afzonderlijke programma’s als sabnzbd updaten, want ik meende dat dat niet ging.

    @Michels, voor zover ik weet is het hele skin gebeuren ondergebracht bij de addons. Je kunt nog wel een map aanmaken, maar deze heeft dat een hele specifieke benaming nodig (weet ik aan de hand van de minimedia waffa skin.

    Ik heb hetzelfde probleem. Mijn zotac blijft eindeloos “working” als ik mijn nas Qnap als new share wil toevoege…

    kan iemand mij en voyager op weg helpen??

    I cannot start the terminal. I’ve tried CTRL+ALT+F1 and it does not work.
    Does anyone know something about it?

    ibes, I think it has something to do with the keyboard. If I use my bluetooth keyboard I don’t have any Ctrl/Alt keys working. If I put a usb keyboard on…. works (for me).
