This is a first version of the Maverick 10.1 livecd. Big difference compared to the Lucid livecd’s is that this livecd contains Ubuntu 10.10. Ubuntu 10.10 supports Nvidia 260.19 drivers and features a Linux 2.6.35-27 Kernel. The ASROCK remote controller is broken in this release. The repository which should contain the correct drivers doesn’t work at this moment. I’ll try to create another livecd with Kernel 2.6.38, which supports the asrock remote controller out of the box. Please post your findings.
@Flerpje
Flerpje,
On the command line go to : /etc/network/interfaces
Open this file with sudo privileges with text editor vi,gedit,nano etc
make sure that you see : auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
if you only see this and not an eth0 please make sure you add :
auto eth0
iface eth0 dhcp
save the file and restart networking by : sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
check you’re ip configaration by : ifconfig
Most likely that you now have an ip adres by you’re router or other dhcp server in you’re network
my 2 cents…..
Flerpje,
By the way it an 0 and not an O after ethx in you’re network interface file !!!
Cheers
Thanks for your reply Dave, but those line were already present in my config file.
@nifan: Would you mind to share your method how to update the kernel to 2.6.38 where the Nuvoton remote is fixed by the kernel itself?
@BiTRiP
The post/comment where I explain what I did to get the 2.6.38 is still ‘awaiting moderation’. Could be because I put the external url’s where you can get the packages from in the post. (thus triggering extra spam check?)
@nifan
Ah I see. Can you perhaps make a post on the forum?
We would really appreciate it.
Thnx

@All Nuvoton people:
Check the forum post of Nifan how to upgrade to kernel 2.6.38. After that the remote is working right away!
@nifan
Thanks I’ll try tonight!
@Flerpje
Flerpje,
Empty this file : /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and reboot check again.
Dave
I just installed xbmcfreak-nuvoton-10.1-v2 on my Asrock 330h and every things seems to work. The remote is working but i have no audio over HDMI.
Has any one here a suggestion to solve my audio over HDMI.
Regards Frank
Hmmm I dont know why. I created a bootable USB using the ISO and Unetbootin. I can boot into XBMC fine on my Revo 3700 but I was never given an option to install XBMC Live to my HDD?? Where is it??
AH! i dont think i formatted my usb properly so theres a leftover bootloader from something else on there…
Congratulation for your work
@Dave Haakenhout
It didn’t work
I did managed to get network in XBMC for a brief moment using a static IP, but this was gone as soon as i rebooted.
