XBMCbuntu with XBMC Frodo pre-beta01

Here’s new XBMCbuntu release based on the xbmc unstable packages. This release can be considered as a pre-beta01. No new features will be added till XBMC Frodo (12.00) has been released. If you have issues, please post your findings here.

    Won’t run or install on an AMD FM2 chip. Gives a ‘hda_codec: cannot build error”. What version of the amd drivers is this using?

    Yes. There’s a problem with the 12.10 livecd’s. Both nvidia and amd drivers can’t be packaged on one livecd. Hopefully the problem will be fixed once 13.04 comes out.

    Installed last night.. so far everything seems to be fine.. Installation took (for me) a lot longer than previous releases (coming from v7 iso released a few weeks ago), but we got there in the end. :)

    this doesn’t work. it just upgrades ubuntu packages, not xbmc
