Here’s a nice article about the XvBA support. XBMC has been using a VA-API wrapper in order to accelerate AMD systems. The wrapper has been there for two years and will also make it’s way to the next version of XBMC, Eden. Some real progress has been made by developer FernetMenta in order to interface directly to XvBA. The benefit is that less packages are needed and at the end the direct XvBA interface will be much faster. Packages are available at the following repository: https://launchpad.net/~wsnipex/+archive/xbmc-xvba

Zeer goed nieuws!
