Sapphire Edge HD2 Mini PC

I found the following system. The Sapphire Edge HD2 Mini PC features an Intel Atom D525 1.8GHz and Nvidia ION2 chipset. A 320GB drive and 2GB of memory are included as well. See the full specs below:

    Ik heb de Sapphire Edge HD Mini PC, het broertje van deze.
    (Exact zelfde apparaat, maar dan met Atom D510 en 250GB HDD)

    Werkt perfect met XBMC, maar HDMI audio out was nogal een werk om aan de gang te krijgen met XBMC Live.

    Pctje is erg klein en werkt zeer stil. Trekt XBMC live perfect, zelfs zware films.
    Enige nadeel is dat er geen SPDIF uitgang opzit.

    Ontwerp is nogal ‘phoned-in’. De ontwerpers hebben nogal goed gekeken naar zowel de Acer als de Asus. Verder wel een aardig ding.

    Kost 299 Euro bij Conrad.NL, in Duitsland (Conrad.DE) met 279 Euro ietsje goedkoper. Bij Amazon maar 263 Euro.

    Geen SPDIF, zou je dus via HDMI moeten doen. Ik had de Sapphire ook op mijn lijstje voor mijn HTPC, maar het is voor mij de Zotac Zbox ID41 geworden. Zelfde processor, maar wel met SPDIF en meer USb poorten, waarvan 2 stuk USB3. Wel ietsje duurder, groter en minder mooi :(

    @vanhal: Barebone is gewoon van de website te bestellen voor €232.75.

    SPDIF port/optical x 1
    VGA port x 1
    HDTV interface x 1 (HDTV cable included)
    Ethernet RJ45 port x 1 USB 2.0 port x 5
    DC power jack x 1

    S/PDIF zit er dus WEL op. Dit is hiermee het eerste passief gekoelde systeem met
    S/PDIF!

    Cant get sound over hdmi working, any tips? No error when playing video, but still no sound : (
