Nvidia Linux Display Driver 256.44

Nvidia released a new version of their stable drivers. Drivers are Linux only and contain these changes:

  • Added Support for GeForce GTX 460
  • Added Support for Quadro 4000, Quadro 5000, and Quadro 6000.
  • Removed the requirement that in active stereo, all monitors must use identical modetimings.
  • Enhanced VDPAU to better report certain kinds of initialization error.
  • Fixed VDPAU to not print a debug error message when calling VdpVideoMixerQueryFeatureSupport with an unsupported or unknown VdpVideoMixerFeature.

m3g4tr0n, did you just download the .sh file from the website and run it manually? Or did you use one of the repositories or something?

And sorry if this is a stupid question, but did you have to remove the old driver first?
