Zie http://trac.xbmc.org/timeline

Tried it.
System: asrock ion ht bd
hdmi passthrough is not working
1080i stream is flickering
IR isnt working.
so i have to wait for updated release.
But new features as addons are great…
After some trial and error procedures hdmi passtrough and 1080i hd playback works like charm.
Dharma is the one!
Even auto thumbnailing works for 1080i content.
Has anybody any success installing asrock ir drivers with .24 kernel?
@urosk how did you get the HDMI passthrough working?
I also had trouble with the IR drivers after downloading them from the ASRock site on the .24 kernel. (using the 64bit Ubuntu) but have it up & running now.
Error I got was : lirc_wb677: Unknown symbol lirc_register_driver error message.
I’ve described here (Remote Control section) how I got it up & running.
Apparently, there also an entry in ubuntu launchpad for it.
the XBMC beta1 live cd also has a not working terminal, so i’m going to try a minimal ubuntu install (this sucks)
To get a shell just press: CTRL+ALT+F-Key (F1-6 should work and F7 should return you to the xsession).
Dharma beta1 running great on my asrock 330ht slackware64-current (2.6.34), (@urosk: IR aswell). only one thing i noticed is buggy playback of MPEG2 streams demuxed from DVD (higher bitrates than DVB ones). xbmc chokes and hangs after couple of seconds playback, 9.11 had no such problems…. OSD over video playback noticable faster than on 9.11… i hope that mpeg2 will be fixed till final release.
best regards
@emude
Hey Emude, I did that and I only get a black screen (no prompt) something to do with the X server resolution, but i only have wifi on my XBMC machine and need command line 1 time to activate it so I can use putty.
Works great on OSX so far… download, drag xbmc-icon to applications folder, start xbmc, enjoy…
Installed this to usb stick. Can anyone help me with setting it to persistent? Excuse the linux noob.
skooby
@deej
For me everything is working ok now. I have some troubles with IR, but they are gone now.
I set passthrough and audio device to: HDA Nvidia Audio Hdmi.
I do miss feature to add addons directly to root. For example: shoutcast selected streams directly under the music.
