New XBMC 10.06 svn311xx packages

I’ve created new packages for xbmc and placed them on my public repository. The versions are:

xbmc-standalone_10.06+svn31139-karmic1
xbmc-standalone_10.06+svn31158-lucid1

If you like to use them follow this link:

It’s not allowing me to update, it’s telling me that 30220 is the latest build. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

I’m currently syncing all servers.. Try again in a couple of minutes.

Still got the 30220 build as the latest, am I doing something wrong?

Am I doing something wrong? I followed the linked URL to add repo keys and repos to my list. I’m trying to add the packages above using sudo apt-get install (package name) but it says the karmic1 package isn’t found. A normal update fails on the xbmcfreak repos as well – error 404. Are they down? Have I done something wrong? i’m just trying to get some code on-board that’s up to date with the add-on framework without having to run SVN code.

  9. me too. package isn’t found when running sudo apt-get install xbmc-standalone_10.06+svn31139-karmic1

I think maybe a little manual “install ubuntu, then add this bla bla, then run this command” would help the beginner, after all we are used to the liveCD’s which work out of the box :)

Hmm, replaced the deb’s as explained in http://www.xbmcfreak.nl/en/xbmcfreak-ubuntu-repository/ and did a upgrade/dist-upgrade. But my 9.11.14 live version an ASRock ION330HT (already a dist-upgrade done which e.g. installs a newer kernel) just tell me that some xbmc-* packages are “kept back”!?

try sudo aptitude upgrade I think thats what I did to get it to work. Can’t remember had some dependecies errors before but it worked once and all was good. Pandora script didn’t work so i went back to regular

Is this for XBMC Live only? Or will it work on a full ubuntu install as well?
