Boxee released it’s last and final version of Boxee 1.5. Yes, that’s right; Version 1.5 will be the last version for the PC platform ever. Boxee will focus from now on more on applications and online content. The full blogpost can be found over here:

I think the majority (if not all) of their “users” will return to XBMC.
I got a boxee, it will never replace my xbmc in the living room. But it would be a nice device for my dad for instance.. but not for people that just want more.

On-topic: Ben benieuwd hoe de ontwikkelingen eruit gaan zien voor de Boxee Box. Ik hoop wel dat men daar goed voor blijft ontwikkelen. Vooralsnog doet mijn BB precies wat ‘ie moet doen en daar ben ik blij mee. Hoewel ik bij nader inzien misschien ook gewoon een Apple TV had kunnen kopen met XBMC erop…
