If you’re interested to play with Alsa and XBMC these are the scripts you’ll need. The both will redirect the audio signal to hdmi and spdif/digital at the same time. The triple also does analoog! The dmix scripts filter the signal and prevented load pops on my reciever. Let me know when you changed anything and found something interesting!

Misschien is het interessant om de instellingen die in XBMC moeten gemaakt worden bij audio ook te vermelden.
Met het eerste script ben ik alvast in staat Stereo LPCM op zowel men HDMI (TV) als SPDIF (A/V Receiver) te verkrijgen.
Enkel als de bron multichannel is Dolby digital bv. is het enkel de A/V Receiver die output. Waarschijnlijk krijgt de tv wel het signaal maar kan hier geen weg mee.
Iemand die het script zo kan aanpassen of is het een instelling in XBMC?
Als je het script opent zie je regels zoals; “pcm.!default”.
Dit geeft te kennen dat als je onder XBMC default gebruikt als audio device het script zal werken.

Ik ga er zo snel mogelijk mee aan de slag. Wat mij betreft is het niet zo’n issue als multichannel output niet via de tv te horen is in ieder geval, in die gevallen wil ik best mijn receiver aanzetten om het geluid ook tot zijn recht te laten komen.
Het zou natuurlijk mooi zijn, als er 1 voor een triple output was, met de dmx filters

This is all very well and good but what we really need is good info about how to configure this stuff.
There no real knowledge here if this is for 2,4 ,5, 5.1 or 7.1 channels, we really need to get some good tutorials about how to configure this stuff and what all the settings mean and what they affect.
Or better still, some kind of script the asks questions like:
– How many speakers do you have
– how is your telly/reciever connected
And then generates the config from there…

I myself am looking to create/modify a script with one downmix to stereo interface and one spdif passtrough anything interface.
However till this moment I haven’t succeeded.
Good info/tutorials would certainly be welcome.
Kan iemand mij even uitleggen hoe ik dit moet installeren op mn Asrock 330 met XBMC Live 9.11? (geinstalleerd op een SSD)
Wil namelijk ook erg graag voornamelijk muziek via mn versterker zonder dat TV aan moet. (bediening XBMC gaat via Iphone)
