cool!!!
Lets hope NFS is fixed.
Thanks so much for the release!
@R:
NFS fixed? What problems do you have with NFS? Using autofs/nfs is working great! The latest release(s) have all necessary tools/libraries installed, just uncommenting /net in the /etc/auto.master and every NFS enabled device can be used here.
Beta 3 is released.
I just upgraded from v28 -> Beta 3 and movie sets no longer work?
@Mark
Settings -> Videos -> Group movies in sets
Straange, I can’t seem to find the Beta 3. And what are movie sets? I saw the button.. but what does it do? (I’m at work at the moment, so I can’t look
)
was about to start testing the new NFS so can you please let me know what is or what is not working.
@K0sm
Movie sett will put all star wars films into a sub folder on the movies screen.
I did
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
but it’s still beta 2?
Thanks Berty.
@Wullie -> I think they are fooling us
Wullie I did that same thing and I’m on beta 3 now. However, the CPU usage is 100/80 % again. I have acer revo 1600 and dharma uses 25/0 % CPU. Hopefully, someone can figure this out.
@K0sm @Scott I’ll leave it for a day or so I think, It does say beta 2 on the splash screen though, I dunno, this stuff confuses me at the best of times.
My NFS directories show up. However when it starts scanning my database it just keeps running or crashes with NFS. I’ve been using SMB instead as I couldn’t find a fix.
Would “just uncommenting /net in the /etc/auto.master and every NFS enabled device can be used here.” Work?
I’m using a Synology NAS.
@Wullie
Are you sure you added the unstable repository on your system?
I just did the apt-get update, apt-get upgrade routine and my system is definately on beta3 now.
@adgr No I haven’t done that, is it simple to do?
@R Also I can’t get my NFS shares from my Ubuntu server to show up even though they show up on ATV2 eden beta 2 and Windows eden beta 2. I have done the uncommenting but makes no difference. The option for NFS is there but gives no response when selected.
@Wullie
use the following commands to add the unstable repository:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:team-xbmc/unstable
sudo apt-get update
After that try the upgrade procedure you used before again.
